My Process for Making Wax Slime Cakes ​1. Coating the Molds ​I start with my favorite light-blue silicone bundt mold. I pour in a layer of clear, melted wax and carefully tilt and rotate the mold. My goal is to get an even coating along all those intricate ridges so I have a perfect, hollow shell once it hardens. ​2. Choosing the Fillings ​Once the wax is cool to the touch, it’s time for the best part—the slime! I like to use a variety of textures to keep things interesting. In this batch, I used: ​A translucent purple clear slime. ​A vibrant, thick red clear slime. ​A crunchy yellow glossy microfloam slime. ​A deep grey slime loaded with silver holo glitter. ​3. Sealing the Cakes ​To trap the slime inside, I pour another layer of melted wax over the top of each filling. This caps the cake, ensuring the slime is completely enclosed. ​4. The Reveal ​After letting everything sit until it's completely firm, I gently peel the silicone mold away. It's so satisfying to see the wax take on that perfect cake shape. Some of the shells are thin enough that you can see the pops of color from the slime glowing through the wax. ​5. Adding the Finishing Touches ​I can't leave them plain! I decorate each cake with tiny charms and glitter. I added some ladybugs, little pink flowers, and a few heart glitters to give them that cute, finished look. ​6. The Ultimate ASMR Crack ​Finally, it’s time for the crunch. I pick up the glittery grey cake and give it a firm squeeze. The sound of the wax shell shattering is incredibly crisp.
